Visiting the Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival

The weeks have just been flying by like crazy here. I've hardly been able to write as I've been busy cleaning out my old apartment and moving into a new one with my boyfriend while also trying to maintain two blogs.

Now that I'm fully settled, I hope to finish the book I'm writing about Avalon, move forward with a (still secret) new movie project, and publish all the exciting new posts I have in store for you.

Today I'd like to share with you the images I shot at the Cannes Film Festival in May. I didn't have time to share those with you yet, although I really love them!

Visiting the Cannes Film Festival had been on my bucket list ever since I was a child, and I was so lucky to have been invited by Offscreen this year.

Needless to say, I was bursting out of happiness in Cannes. It's such an exciting place as it not only made me dream but also allowed me to make those dreams come true.

Anyways, I'll leave you all with a series of pictures. I'll be following up in a few days with an overview of the best and worst movies of the festival.

Throughout the day, Cannes is just a busy tourist town. But once the stars arrive, the entire population flocks together around the red carpet.

Or, if I had less time, I just rested at the beach or walked along the famous Croisette.

Evenings were usually spent in the old part of Cannes, which is definitely the most charming part. This is also where most restaurants are located. And if you walk to the top like we did, there's a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the entire city.

After dinner in the old town, we went back to our hotel in Juan-les-Pins, a small holiday resort next to Cannes.

But if there's one lesson to be learned, it's that the most handsome stars at the Cannes Film Festival are rarely the actors or filmmakers, but dogs ...
