Interview at Earth's Book Nook

halloween witches

Here's an interview I recently did for Earth's Book Nook. Enjoy!

Earth's Book Nook: Was there anything about your upbringing that influenced your love of paranormal subjects?

I was an anxious child. Even the news scared me. When I was a toddler, I saw the trailer for The Planet Of The Apes on television. The images from that movie scared me so much that the apes materialized in the living room and continued to "visit" me for several months. They looked as real to me as my friends and family. Despite my fears, I quickly became attracted to anything horror and paranormal. I guess it was a way to process those fears. In any case, my fears disappeared as soon as I showed an interest in the genre.

Earth's Book Nook: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Happy.

Earth's Book Nook: What are your favorite writing snacks?

Cheesecake and tea.

Earth's Book Nook: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Most of the messages I get are from men telling me that I'm beautiful. I'm guessing those are meant for the teen actress that goes by the same name.

Earth's Book Nook: What do you think makes a good story?

It depends on the person, but good characters and an exciting beginning and ending are a good starting point because people will always remember the beginning and the ending.

  1. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a lawyer because I read too many Nancy Drew novels. lol. Or an orphan, like the Boxcar Children. Either one would have been fine with me.

  10. When I was a kid I wanted to be a writer or doctor LOL I wrote a story about something scary on the beach, a puppy, and a crab - herein is my introduction to an interest in paranormal reads. Of course horror was a no, no, as when I was way too young one afternoon when I got home from school I watched Psycho and was unable to take a shower for many years to come ;=D Thank you for the fun.
